Singer Jung Joon Young revealed his reason for doing rock music.

JJY Band recently appeared in KBS 2TV ‘Yoo Hee Yeol’s Sketchbook’. Solo singer Jung Joon Young came back with a band. Having released their debut album ‘Deviation’, JJY Band appeared on the stage of Yoo Hee Yeol’s programme.

On this day, MC Yoo Hee Yeol used the phrase “a band filled with powerful musicians” to describe JJY band members who debuted through Superstar K, namely Jo Dae Min, Jung Suk Won and Lee Hyun Gyu.

Jung Joon Young talked about the reason for continue doing rock music. He said: “Band and rock are cool. Although doing band music is difficult, and further difficulties may arise; but such music must not cease to exist.” Such faithful speech earned thunderous applause from the audience.

JJY band also spoke their thoughts about working together with Jung Joon Young. They said: “Although we do music together, Joon Young does variety and DJ, hence he is like a working dad.”

Although the band members talked about their difficulties in their past bands, they explained: “What Jung Joon Young has is time, hence he can create flavourful music. Joon Young also bought us sashimi frequently too. We eat till we’re full. It’s a satisfactory band life.”

In addition, Jung Joon Young also revealed a song which he wrote for his ex-girlfriend, in which he sang live on this day. Before he sang, he spoke: “Suddenly I thought of you, are you living well?” This sentence melted all the hearts of female audience.

Jung Joon Young band also expressed their desire to go beyond Korea and Asia in becoming a worldwide-known band, such as Cider. While such revelation led to thunderous applause, it is still a pretty much far-fetched goal.
